Other Ways To Install
Most people should use the Windows installer or the Mac steps on the Install page. These are for installing on Windows without the installer, or for developers who want to follow the latest changes with Git.
Windows Without The Installer
Same as the Mac steps
Copy one folder into Fusion’s add-ins folder.
Copy The Folder By Hand
- Download BuildBook.zip from the latest release.
- Right-click the zip → Extract All… → Extract.
- Press Windows + R, paste the folder below and press Enter.
- Copy the extracted BuildBook folder into that window. Copy the folder that has
BuildBook.pydirectly inside it, not a folder around it. - Restart Fusion.
%APPDATA%\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\API\AddIns
To update: copy the new folder over the old one. To uninstall: delete the folder.
For Developers: Install With Git
Follow the latest changes
Clones the repository to ~/BuildBook and links the add-in into Fusion. Run the same command again to update.
