Build Gripper
Assemble the gripper in six steps. A NEMA 17 turns a GT2 pulley that drives two GT2 racks in opposite directions, so the fingers open and close together.

1.1 Add Pulley To Motor
Slide the GT2 20t pulley onto the motor shaft, teeth up, leaving a 3mm gap between the bottom of the pulley and the motor face.
Tighten the pulley’s set screws onto the shaft.

1.2 Add Servo Body
Lower the Servo Base over the pulley onto the motor and fasten it with 4x M3x16 SHCS into the motor’s mounting holes.

1.3 Prepare Racks (x2)
Fasten a Gripper Finger Base to the end of a Servo Rack GT2 with 2x M3x10 SHCS.
Repeat this step 2 times to make two rack assemblies.

1.4 Add Racks
Slide the two rack assemblies into the Servo Base channel from opposite ends, teeth facing the pulley, so both racks mesh with it.
Turning the motor should now move the two finger bases toward and away from each other.

1.5 Add Servo Base Covers
Close both ends of the channel with a Servo Base Cover, each held by 2x M3x8 SHCS.

1.6 Add Gripper Fingers
Fasten a Gripper Finger to each finger base with 2x M3x10 SHCS.
